CAMELFORD ROADWORKS PHASE 1.
The main A39 road through Camelford was closed on Monday 3rd October 2011. Drilling commenced at approximately 12.00 noon the following day. A trench was dug across the road in the centre of town and new large bore pipes were embedded in concrete. Balfour Beatty had started replacing the main sewage pipes on behalf of South West Water!
The estimated time the work would take was 10 weeks which proved to be accurate. Arrangements were made to clear the road for Carnival night, work completed 2 days before
light-up night of the Christmas lights and fireworks display, which went ahead as planned.

Resurfacing work is due to commence on Monday 30th January 2012. Estimated time for road closure - 2 weeks!
