Purpose of meeting: EXEMPT INFORMATION – TO CONSIDER
PASSING THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION IN RESPECT OF THE
ITEMS LISTED BELOW.
That the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the following item of
business on the grounds that they involve likely disclosure of information
prejudicial to the public interest as defined in the Local Government Act 1972.
MB, proposed, seconded AS, seven in favour, PC against, one abstention.
a. To continue employing Ron Hart as acting Town Clerk on a temporary basis, wages, hours,
conditions of employment.
b. Correspondence from Mr B. Jordan, Town Clerk, reference his suspension and other letters
reference the council.

b. CORRESPONDENCE FROM MR B. JORDAN, TOWN CLERK REFERENCE
HIS SUSPENSION AND OTHER LETTERS REFERENCE THE COUNCIL:
Clerk’s suspension.
At this present time not to proceed with any further action reference Mr B.
Jordan until the results of any court action is known. Proposed MB, seconded
RR, seven in favour, BL & RI abstained.
Grievance procedure.
In his absence the clerk read out a report from JP with a recommendation to
join SWPE who would help the council in this matter. Also in this report was a
list of four possible actions the council could follow. PL proposed the council
join SWPE, seconded RI, three in favour, five against, one abstention.
RR proposed write to Mr Jordan stating that the council cannot proceed with a
grievance process until the judicial process is concluded. This letter not to be
sent until it had been viewed by NCDC Legal Department.
Amendment: We will proceed with your grievance upon conclusion of the
judicial procedure. This letter not to be sent until it had been viewed by NCDC
Legal Department.
