a. Mr D. Tiney, new memorial stone in Enfield Park. Thank Mr Tiney for his letter, contents noted.
b. Mr D. Howe, speed limits around town. Clerk to write to the Camera Safety Partnership
and ask them to spend more time enforcing speed
around the town of Camelford.
c. Camelford Town Forum, Fireworks Committee Letter received thanking the council for its support reference the firework/lights switch on event, they
also thanked the local people and businesses.
12) PLANNING APPLICATIONS
a. 2006/02315. Revised design to previously approved conversion to single residential dwelling at Trewalder Chapel, Trewalder, for Mr & Mrs J. Chanter. As proposed no objection, seconded BL, eleven in favour.
b. 2006/02316. Listed building consent for above application, Trewalder Chapel, Trewalder, for Mr & Mrs J. Chanter. AS proposed no objection, seconded BL, eleven in favour.
c. 2006/02230. Erection of a conservatory to side of property at 12 Penmelen, Camelford, for Mr A. Davey. AS proposed no objection, seconded LC, nine in favour, two abstentions one of whom was BL.
AS sat in for the chair. Proposed JF, seconded BL, all in favour.
d. 2006/02270. Provision of 17 pine lodges on touring caravan field at Juliots Wells Holiday Park, Camelford, for Travelsmith Holiday Ltd. RI proposed no objection, seconded SE, nine in favour.
e. 2006/02271. Conversion of utility/shower block into two one bedroom chalets at Juliots Wells Holiday Park, Camelford, for Travelsmith Holiday Ltd. AS proposed no objection, seconded MW, nine in favour.
JF returned as chair.
f. 2006/02272. Display of internal static facia and projection corporate signage at 11 Fore Street, Camelford, for Lloyds TSB. Accept subject to the sign being non illuminated as it is in a conservation area. Proposed AS, seconded BL, six in favour, four against, one abstention.

Amenities committee meeting report (minutes of the 6th December circulated).-
Item2. Minutes. Change minute to read three in favour, two abstentions.
Item3b Waste bin in park. Damaged bin , first bin on the left past the entrance, to be replaced with a plastic bin. Clerk to order. Proposed AS, seconded BG, ten in favour, one abstention.
Item4 Sweeper/cleaner/car park attendant. To be discussed “in committee”.
Item 5a Flower beds on the A39 adjacent to Top Field Farm. Clerk to apply for a planting licence for perennials. Proposed JF, seconded MW, nine in favour, two abstentions.
Item 5b Seats in the town. Victoria Road bus shelter seat c/wd under main agenda item 7j.
Seat for Clease Road bus stop, the Mayor to check with Barry Jordan if this is already being dealt with.
Item 5d Salt bin at Trefrew Road junction with the A39. Clerk to write to Highways requesting that the missing salt bin be re-instated.

c. Youth Club. Another grant of money received towards the proposed extension.

f. RI ref Broadwood Path bridge, Enfield Park. Financing has become a nightmare, negotiations started again as total cost exceeds limits set by Awards for All. Details to be given to the precept meeting.
g. AS reported that the drainage in High Street is inadequate and surface water is getting into property doors and windows. Clerk to report to Highways.

17) EXEMPT INFORMATION.
TO COSIDER PASSING THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION IN RESPECT OF THE ITEMS LISTED BELOW.
AS proposed, BG seconded, ten in favour, one against.
“That the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business on the grounds that they involve likely disclosure of information prejudicial to the public interest as defined in the Local Government Act 1972”.
.JF reported that excess parking ticket court claim number 6BJ01110 was lost by the council. The court found in favour of Mr J. Harman, no costs were awarded.
Town Maintenance/car park person..
AS proposed that in principle the council agree to employ a part time person for this post, 24hrs per week, seconded RI, ten in favour, one against namely PC.
Monday the 11th December at 1600hrs AS and MW to meet with the clerk and discuss duties, equipment and job description.
