Thursday May 3rd is your opportunity to elect the next Town Council.
The polling station at Camelford Hall in Clease Car Park will be open
from 7am until 10pm.
A full list of candidates is provided overleaf and it is up to those of
you of voting age to decide who will best represent the majority of the
people of Camelford for the next four years.
Use YOUR vote
A large turn-out will strengthen the mandate of the newly-elected
Council and show that the townspeople are concerned about how our
town is run by their representatives -- so please make every effort to
vote if you can !
It isn’t just about parking charges !
Your vote won’t merely influence whether parking charges stay or go
although this issue has led to a great deal of heated debate. Many of
the current Town Council, some of who are standing for election this
time round, have been accused of being increasingly secretive and deaf
to the views of any who have opposed their decisions or opinions. It
is evident that since more members of the public (CAR amongst them)
have been attending, the incidence of meetings when Press and public
are excluded has increased dramatically i.e. almost every meeting !

Local Town Council Election
