Enfield Park entrance is now complete. Tony Riley of Tony's Building Services, seen in the picture below with Ron Hart, Camelford Town Clerk, was given the contract to refurbish Enfield Park. Work started on October 11th 2004. The gates were moved further back from the road, and the entrance widened. Crazy Paving was laid along with a Granite Set Pathway leading up to the gates. A Band Stand was constructed along with surrounding Slate Seating. Grass has been sown and various plants and shrubs have been planted by the Council. The paving and granite came from Trebarwith and Trecarne quarries and the famous Delabole Slate was used for the seating. The first seat on the right of the entrance was donated by the Rotary Club and was fitted by Tony free of charge. The work was completed on the 25th March 2005, when an official opening ceremony took place. The way the slate and stone has been used is very imaginative and has created an interesting focal point in the town, for locals and visitors alike.
